Dr Timmerman holds a PhD in Molecular Genetics from the University of Ghent, Belgium and an MBA from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France. Ben has 17 years of management experience in senior positions in Life Science Companies such as PROCORDIA, SANDOZ and NOVARTIS. Prior to founding BT PHARMA, Dr Timmerman founded a Biotech centre in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and was prior to this Vice-President Research & Development of NOVARTIS Seeds – Europe, member of the European Executive Committee and member of the global Technology Licensing and Acquisition team. Ben was also Board member of Agritrading, Italy and is currently a member of the Board of PC30, a computer and Internet service company listed on Euronext, Paris.

Mr Martin Koch, Vice President Finance and Administration
Mr Koch holds an engineering degree (INAPG) and an MBA from INSEAD. Before joining BT PHARMA, Martin Koch had an international career in financial and operational management positions at Eli Lilly Company, Cap Gemini / Ernst & Young, Elan Pharmaceuticals, Zeneus Pharma and Cephalon Pharmaceuticals. In particular, Mr Koch was instrumental in the transaction whereby a large part of Elan’s continental European activities were spun off to Zeneus Pharma.
Dr Myriam Bouillette, Head of Preclinical and Early Clinical Development
Dr Myriam Bouillette holds a Ph.D in Life Sciences with specilization in immunology from Orsay University, Paris XI. She has held post-doctoral positions in INSERM U313, Paris, CHU Pitié-Salpêtrière and the Karolinska Institute, Stockolm, Sweden, where she was involved in malaria and HIV vaccine research. Dr Bouillette joined BIOVECTOR THERAPEUTICS in 1999, where she held positions as pre-clinical development manager, clinical trial coordinator and multiproject manager. Dr Bouillette joined BT PHARMA in February 2004 where she is currently in charge of activities linked to the development of BT PHARMA's vaccine products.
