Dr Thierry Hercend, MD & PhD has more than 30 years of academic and pharmaceutical experience in various therapeutic areas such as oncology and inflammatory diseases. Between 2002 and 2005, Thierry was Vice-President Oncology Research of Aventis. From 1998 to 2002, he was VP Research Europe at Vertex Pharmaceuticals. Previously, he was Head of R&D at LFB (Laboratoire Français du Fractionnement et des Biotechnologies). He also occupied several senior management functions at Roussel Uclaf. Before entering pharmaceutical industry, Professor Thierry Hercend was Head of the Hematology and Immunology Laboratories at the Gustave Roussy Institute, Director of Research Unit INSERM 333 and Professor of Immunology at the Faculty of Medicine, Paris XI. He is author of over 120 scientific papers in Immunology, cancer and transplantation research. Currently, Thierry Hercend is a “Venture Partner” at Edmond de Rothschild Investment Partners (EdRIP) in Paris.

Mr Rudy Van Thuyne is President of BrevImmo, a private investment holding company under Belgian law. Mr Van Thuyne is chartered accountant and has built an extensive career as a Partner until 2002 at Deloitte, a world-wide accounting and audit firm.

Dr Christian Policard is Managing Partner of Biotech Développement Conseils. He was previously Director of Industrial Relations and Licensing of the INSTITUT PASTEUR. Dr Policard brings extensive industry experience in the field of vaccines, diagnostics, veterinary and biotech business. He was also the former VP of SANOFI’S DIAGNOSTICS division, former VP of SANOFI’S AGRO-VETERINARY division and has acted as a board member of several biotech companies in France, Israel and the UK.
